The 2025 Golf Season is here..

2025 Golf Season loading…

As the days grow longer and the air carries the promise of summer, the golf season in Ireland officially begins and it’s shaping up to be one of the most exciting in recent memory. From major championship action to new course developments and tee sheets opening up for 2026, this year marks a golden moment to explore Ireland’s world-renowned golfing landscape.

A New Season Begins — Our First Guests Arrive May 1st

We’re thrilled to welcome our first group of travelers on May 1st, launching a new season of unforgettable golfing adventures across the Emerald Isle. Our 2025 schedule is packed with bespoke itineraries, blending championship golf with Ireland’s rich cultural, scenic, and culinary offerings. It’s the perfect time to dust off the clubs and tee it up in one of the most iconic golf destinations in the world.

Course Upgrades Across the Island

Ireland’s top clubs haven’t rested on their reputations. Several major upgrades have been rolled out over the winter:

  • Donegal Golf Club (Murvagh) – Under the direction of Paul McGinley, the course is refining its bunkers with traditional revetted faces and improving flow and playability.

  • Galgorm Castle – The addition of a dramatic new boulder wall and tee enhancements add more character to an already excellent inland course.

  • Ballybunion (Cashen Course) – Continuing its evolution with subtle design improvements to enhance play and routing.

These updates reflect the ongoing commitment of Irish clubs to maintaining the highest standards — and keeping every round fresh, challenging, and visually stunning.

The Open Returns to Royal Portrush in 2025

One of the most exciting highlights of the year is the return of The Open Championship to Royal Portrush in July 2025. After its triumphant comeback in 2019 — the first Open in Northern Ireland since 1951 — Royal Portrush is ready once again to host the game’s greatest stage. Golfers and fans alike will be treated to a spectacle across the Dunluce Links, famed for its rollercoaster dunes, sea views, and championship pedigree.

This marks the 153rd Open Championship, and interest is already surging. If you’ve ever dreamed of playing Royal Portrush yourself, now is the time to plan before the post Open rush begins.

The Irish Open Heads Back to The K Club

From July to September, the action continues with the Amgen Irish Open, returning to the iconic K Club in County Kildare from September 4–7, 2025. Known for its luxury setting and Ryder Cup history, The K Club is a fan favorite — and it’s no surprise the Irish Open has found a home there once again.

With Shane Lowry confirmed to play and a world-class field expected, it’s shaping up to be one of the most memorable editions yet. Visitors can not only watch the action unfold but also book their own round on the Palmer North Course, just as the pros play it.

Now Booking: Tee Times for 2026

Demand for Ireland’s top courses remains sky-high, and we’re happy to announce that tee times for 2026 are now open. Whether you're dreaming of a summer golf escape or planning a milestone group trip, booking early ensures access to the best courses, accommodations, and dining experiences — all at your pace, with none of the rush.

Ireland’s Courses Still Top the World Rankings

Ireland continues to dominate global golf rankings. According to Golf Digest’s World 100 and Irish Golfer Magazine, here’s a look at some standout stars:

  • #1 Royal County Down (Championship Links) – Often considered the most beautiful and testing course in the world.

  • Royal Portrush (Dunluce Links) – A timeless test, and the only current Open venue outside Scotland or England.

  • Portmarnock Golf Club – A classic links with Open ambitions and growing international buzz.

  • Lahinch, Ballybunion, Waterville, Tralee, and Carne – Each a links masterpiece in its own right.

Looking Ahead: Portmarnock & The Open?

One of the most exciting developments this year has been the announcement of potential Open Championship hosting at Portmarnock Golf Club. The Irish government has officially backed the club’s ambition to host The Open — potentially making it the first course outside the UK to ever do so.

With its rich history, classic links layout, and proximity to Dublin, Portmarnock is a natural fit for golf’s oldest major, and we’ll be watching closely as this story develops.
